The Digital Transformation Office (DTO) has launched the beta of its Digital Marketplace, which is a platform that looks set to revolutionise the way that government deals with small and medium service providers.
Government procurement has been a slow and drawn-out process, which doesn't help anyone when what's really required is a fast fix for a problem that someone's experiencing. The Digital Marketplace is all about collecting a batch of pre-approved suppliers and making them available to provide staff, support and expertise at the drop of a digital hat.
Data Runs Deep is one of 220 Australian businesses involved from the opening of the Digital Marketplace, and we're extremely excited about the changes that an initiative like this can bring.
Both public and private sectors are feeling the need to take analytics more seriously, and when the benefits to understanding web analytics data can be mapped directly to how citizens experience their interactions with government, the importance of having reliable numbers that can be used meaningfully mustn't be understated.
The beta Digital Marketplace is up and running here, with the full launch in January 2017.
