We’re looking for a quirky, easy-going Google Analytics Specialist who’s been using Google Analytics for aroundabout 2-3 years (but more is cool.) Ideally, you’ll have been working with Google Analytics to find insights for a variety of different clients and industries. You might be working agency-side and fed up of long hours, or dull clients that don’t fit your outlook on life or your personality. You might want an autonomous slice of the pie where you get to work from a home office or shared space. You might want your life back.

About the role
This role will see you getting under the hood in Google Analytics every single day, learning more about how it works and how to structure reports and configurations to help our clients get more and more out of the tool.
As an integral part of the company, the Google Analytics Lead Consultant will be talking to clients about developments in the world of web analytics, telling them about cool techniques and the intersection of analytics and cloud. Reporting to the Account Director (and inputting regularly to the Director of Analytics), you’ll also be responsible for ensuring that your portfolio of groovy, hand-picked clients are utilising our services in the smartest way possible.
You’ll be performing sanity checks to make sure data is behaving as it should, you’ll be working with cool stuff like Data Driven Attribution and Advanced Analysis to go deeper -- naturally, we’ll be providing all the training you need.
We love to help our clients help themselves, so you’ll be spending time talking them through how to use Google Analytics to find insights. This could be anything from casual phone calls to in-house training sessions.
A typical day will involve supporting our fantastic clients in their use of Google Analytics, helping your colleagues develop their skills, learning about new features within the Google Marketing Platform stack, training clients on how to get more out of GA, and contributing to one of the most unique workplace cultures the world done ever did see.
You’ll be using other tools, including Google Data Studio and a bit of Google Tag Manager. It would be nice if you have experience in these platforms, but it’s not essential. There will be occasional travel interstate and possibly overseas, and you’ll be encouraged to engage with the web analytics community on home and foreign soil.
Skills and experience
- At least two years experience with Google Analytics (free or 360)
- At least two years experience managing multiple clients in an agency environment
- Develop strategies to further progress clients' digital maturity.
- Project manage implementation projects through their entire lifecycle.
- Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ)
- Be comfortable talking with clients about what makes them tick
- Inquisitive nature and a love of solving problems
- Be able to find the gold nugget of insight in the heap
- Be able to explain complex scenarios in relatable ways
- Ability to push yourself but also be able to work in a team
- Clear, crisp writing style with impeckable stile and grammer
- Some use of Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager
- Understanding of how data is collected
- BigQuery/SQL experience a plus
